The texts for the individual versions of this double check were published for the first broadcasts of the "Tatort" episodes in March and November 2019.

The scenario of »mirror, mirror«:

One day, one murder.

In Münster there is a killer who prepares a new deed for every weekday.

The villain is looking for victims for his Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday murders, who are like the faces of investigators Boerne (Jan Josef Liefers) and Thiel (Axel Prahl) and people around them.

To prevent the worst from happening, the coroner and the inspector keep an eye out for doppelgangers.

The scenario of »liquorice«:

The suffering of the young Boerne: After someone murdered the boss of the weekly market with liquorice set with zyankali, the forensic doctor is reminded of his own youth while sniffing the black delicacies.

He was once in love with the daughter of a liquorice manufacturer, but she would rather make out with an older rocker than with the little nerd Karl-Friedrich.

While colleague Thiel has his hands full keeping his father from selling hashish in the nursing home, Boerne revels in the smell of liquorice, inspired by the most beautiful and hideous moments of puberty.

The highlight of »mirror, mirror«:

The full roar of Liefers and Prahl: Here the "crime scene" quota heads not only play the investigators, but also the potential murder victims.

Those responsible must have flashed this idea so much that they gave little more thought to the plot of the crime thriller.

The highlight of »liquorice«:

Boerne on the search for lost time: With all the drug-induced slapstick in this Münster episode, there are a few touching flashbacks in the forensic doctor's youth that explain his career to us.

So the little, nerdy, sad Karl-Friedrich became the monkey, lonely, snobbish smartass Boerne.

The picture of »mirror, mirror«:

Vadder Thiel (Claus D. Clausnitzer) distributes self-made taxi business cards - with a psychedelic pattern in purple and turquoise.

As if he didn't want to chauffeur his passengers to the train station, but to the stars.

The picture of »liquorice«:

Vadder Thiel again: He puts his taxi in front of a retirement home and sets up a bazaar with marijuana products in it - whereupon the old people happily rush over on crutches, in electric vehicles and with curlers in their hair.

Later, the home is celebrated as if it were 1969.

The saying of "mirror, mirror":

"Just because I'm narcissistic doesn't mean that everything doesn't always revolve around me." Professor Boerne is once again completely blown away by his own glory and tries to deal critically with this self-love - just to go back to the excessive Landing self-praise.

The song from »Licorice«

"Nights in White Satin" by Moody Blues.

In the cellar, Boerne and Thiel find an old music cassette that little Karl-Friedrich had recorded 40 years earlier for the daughter of the liquorice manufacturer.

First you hear the delicate words "Hello Moni, this is Karl-Friedrich", then the song.

The review:

Originally we gave two points for "mirror, mirror" and seven for "liquorice" - but honestly, if you are willing to shoot your way out of the weekend with the full roar of Boerne and Thiel, you shouldn't care about our subtle considerations anyway.
