In the midst of the development of the second wave of the pandemic, the Government confirmed this Sunday
8,850 new cases
and another
281 deaths
from coronavirus in Argentina.
In this way, the country exceeds 4.6 million infections detected since the beginning of the global health crisis and the 98 thousand deaths.
All these numbers were published this afternoon by the Ministry of Health in the health report prepared with the information provided by the provinces in the last 24 hours.
In recent weeks, the number of patients with covid-19 in intensive care has decreased.

At the global level, taking the statistics accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic, Argentina remains in the
eighth place
of the countries with the highest number of infected and in the
eleventh
among the nations with the most fatal cases.
In turn, the country has
the tenth highest average
of new infections globally (16,089 per day, according to the average of the 7 days prior to today) and the
sixth
highest average of daily deaths (415, also with data from the July 4 to 10).

This Sunday a new Aerolineas Argentinas flight left for China for more Sinopharm vaccines.
It is the fourth of the 10 services with which it is planned to transfer 8 million doses during the month of July.
Two have already arrived, with 768 thousand serums each.
Meanwhile, this morning
a new flight
also took off to Moscow
to bring more Sputnik V vaccines

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign,
28,383,730
vaccines have
arrived in the country
, of which 11,265,830 correspond to Sputnik V, (9,375,670 from component 1 and 1,890,160 from component 2);
7,536,000 belonging to Sinopharm;
580,000 to AstraZeneca-Covishield, 1,944,000 to AstraZeneca through the Covax mechanism of the World Health Organization (WHO), and 7,057,900 to AstraZeneca-Oxford, whose active ingredient was produced in Argentina.
According to the latest official data, until this morning 27,613,744 doses had been distributed, of which
2.8 million
still
remain to be applied
.
According to the Public Vaccination Monitor, 19,707,031 people received at least one vaccine against covid-19.
This represents
43%
of the population, out of the 45,808,747 inhabitants estimated by INDEC this year.
The Government reported that more than 60% of those over 20 years of age already have an injection.
