The great rapprochement between CNews and Europe 1 will not wait until the start of the school year.

As announced on the site Les Jours, the Canal + group's news channel and the radio, recently taken over by Vincent Bolloré, who became the majority shareholder, will offer the same coverage of the July 14 parade on the Champs-Élysées.

The common antenna will begin this Wednesday at 10 am, with, according to our information, Marc Menant on stage (one of the figures of the program "Face à l'Info" with Christine Kelly and Éric Zemmour on CNews) and other speakers in the field.

This is the first time that such a collaboration has taken place on National Day.

This programming reinforces the links between the two branches which have already been broadcasting “Le Grand Rendez-vous” together on Sunday mornings since 2011 (the channel was then iTélé, which became CNews in 2017).

It is Sonia Mabrouk who will take control at the start of the school year.

The journalist will also keep the daily program "Midi News" on CNews as well as her political interview in the morning of Europe 1. From the end of August this morning will be presented by Dimitri Pavlenko, now ex-Radio Classique and regular. of "Face à l'info".

Arrivals and departures

In recent weeks, the list of transfers between the Canal + group and Europe 1 has continued to grow. At midday, Romain Desarbres, from CNews morning show, will take over from Patrick Cohen. Laurence Ferrari, who presents “Punchline” daily on the news channel, will arrive on Europe 1 between 6 pm and 8 pm, with a first hour offered both on radio and television on CNews. Laurie Cholewa ("Tchi Tcha" on Canal +) should take over the weekly film show "Clap" on the radio and Thomas Lequertier, who embodies the morning weekend of CNews, must continue his days by presenting the midday news sections of 'Europe1.

The reconciliations between Europe 1 and the news channel of the Canal + group were at the heart of the concerns of the employees of the radio station, pushing them to lead a strike that lasted 5 days and ended on June 23. Since then, the willingness to depart has multiplied in its ranks.
