Emmanuel Macron announced, this Monday evening, the extension of the health pass to new places in order to limit the risks of transmission of SARS-CoV-2.

The Delta variant is causing the start of the "fourth wave" of the epidemic in France, the incidence rate has been steadily increasing for two weeks.

All people over the age of 12 are affected.

Leisure venues from July 21

From July 21, to access all leisure and cultural places welcoming more than 50 people such as to go to a concert, to the museum, to a show, to a festival or an amusement park, to the cinema or to the theater, participants must present their health pass at the entrance.

Restaurants, cafes and shopping centers from the beginning of August

To sit down with friends, family, at the restaurant or at the café for a drink, all French people (from 12 years old again), must present their health pass from the beginning of August, after the vote of 'a law in the coming days.

Just like going to shopping centers, although it is not yet clear whether this decision will depend on the size of the establishments.

The same goes for long journeys by plane, coach or train

At the same time, at the beginning of August, long journeys in public transport will also be affected.

Thus, access to trains, planes and coaches for "long distance journeys" will be subject to the presentation of a valid health pass.

Without knowing yet how much will be the length of the routes concerned.

Health establishments also concerned

To be able to visit a loved one in hospitals, retirement homes, or medico-social establishments, you will also have to show their health pass, whether it is on the Tous anti-covid application on their smartphone or in paper form.

"Only the vaccinated and people tested negative will be able to access its premises, whether they are customers, users or employees," warned Emmanuel Macron.

To dispose of this sesame, you must either have been fully vaccinated for at least two weeks, or have a negative PCR or antigen test of less than 48 hours, or have proof that you have tested positive between 6 months ( actually since the end of March) and two weeks earlier.

Moreover, this Monday evening, Emmanuel Macron also announced that screening tests, without medical prescription, will no longer be reimbursed from the fall.

In the departments where the epidemic resumption is the strongest, with an incidence rate higher than 200, the prefects will be able to take measures of braking locally.

Note that the curfew will be back in Martinique and Réunion.
