(ANSA) - CANNES, 12 JUL - Who knows, who knows tomorrow / On what we will get our hands on ... the Future of Lucio Dalla who looks at what will happen with fear but also hope gives way today to other darker feelings. The documentary Futura, brought to the Quinzaine in Cannes by Pietro Marcello, FrancescoMunzi, Alice Rohrwacher, tells the young Italy of today, young people from all walks of life and latitudes called by the three affirmative-makers to tell how they live, what they hope, how they imagine the future. "There is the idea of a world that is about to end - admits Rohrwacher - we are faced with darkness, they bring light". "This work we have done moves me and makes me cry - confesses Marcello - there is a great concern, it seems a paradox to ask about the future from these guys who have been robbed of it".

Begun before the pandemic and then continued during and after, the documentary shows young people between 15 and 20 years of age in all the difficulties of today: "They live in a complicated time, they move in a present that is difficult to grasp and the pandemics have made them even more fragile compared to the imaginary of what they will be able to live, build, as if there were rather a near end of the world, a concept that is not new but that today with the pandemic seems to find more scientific reasons ", continues Munzi. Not so much fear as "anguish seems to be the prevailing sentiment without generalizing, faces of young people who do not know well how they will end, who have no impetus.

A freer youth, less conditioned than previous generations such as ours may be, more accustomed - adds Alice Rohrwacher, who prepares her first TV series 'Cisarà una volta' - to communicate itself with social media, to tell each other on Instagram, than to reflect , express opinions ".

The three directors, all parents of adolescent children, have pooled for a collective work with a very specific idea:" Making a fresco of today's young people and delivering it to the archives, to history, a how we were to remember when the moment ".

Produced by Avventurosa and Rai Cinema, it will be released in theaters and then intv. (ANSA).
