In Carloforte it is time for Girotonno but with a special 2021 edition. The pandemic has blown the 2020 edition and the 18th 4-day food and wine festival has been postponed to 2022, which has its heart in the international challenge in the kitchen between chefs. But the municipal administration of the town on the island of San Pietro, a popular tourist destination in the southwest of Sardinia, has set up a billboard from 12 to 31 July to celebrate, with a different formula, the bluefin tuna, a precious resource of the territory, " local product of world excellence ", underlines Aureliana Curcio, councilor for tourism.
