(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 12 - "Spencer," the highly anticipated film by Pablo Larrain with Kristen Stewart in the role of Lady Diana, will be in world premiere competition at the Venice Film Festival (1-11 September). Variety anticipates it. Written by Steven Knight (author of "Peaky Blinders"), the film chronicles the decisive weekend of the early 90s when Diana decided to separate from Prince Charles. It was during the Christmas holidays with the Royal Family gathered at Sandringham in Norfolk, when she decided to say enough to a marriage that was making her suffer. Charles of England is played by JackFarthing, while the cast includes Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins and Sean Harris. 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of Diana's death. (HANDLE).
