It was to be expected: The major streaming platforms dominate the nominations for the Emmy Awards 2021. As the responsible committee announced on Tuesday, the Netflix series "The Crown" and the Disney + series "The Mandalorian" each receive nominations in 24 categories the most important TV price.
HBO and HBO Max, the streaming giant that cannot be accessed in Germany, are most frequently represented with 130 nominations ahead of all providers.
In addition to “The Crown”, “Bridgerton” has been nominated in the Best Drama Series category.
Among the best comedy series are "The Flight Attendant" and "Ted Lasso".
The best mini-series, that is, productions that were designed for only one season, include "Mare of Easttown" with Kate Winslet, "Ted Lasso" "and" I May Destroy You ".
The Emmys will be awarded on September 19th and hosted by actor and comedian Cedric the Entertainer.
