Seven inmates of an Indian prison managed to escape after throwing chilli and salt at the guards.
The prison staff actually wanted to bring them dinner and were hit with the spices in the eyes, a police inspector said according to India Today.
Five guards were injured, one of them seriously.
He may have been hit in the head by the heavy lock on the cell.
His cell phone was also stolen.
The prisoners hid the spices in their cell before they escaped on Sunday, reported the television station NDTV.
The search for the escapees is still ongoing, it said.
It is likely that police officers could arrest them again soon, said an inspector with the Indian news agency PTI.
There is currently a lockdown between 3 p.m. and 5 a.m. in the affected region in the state of Arunachal Pradesh due to the corona pandemic - which makes it difficult for men to escape.
