The highest average was reached on June 11, when the weekly average climbed to

For the boys

The Minister of Health of the province of Buenos Aires, Daniel Gollan, said today that the approval in the country of Moderna and Sinopharm vaccines to immunize children under 18 years of age is "imminent".

"The FDA these days would be approving (the use of Moderna in minors) and then the approval of the Anmat is automatic," said Gollan about the authorization that the United States food and drug agency analyzes for that vaccine to be applied in children and adolescents.

On the other hand, he pointed out that "the approval of Sinopharm (for children and adolescents) from 3 to 18 years is very, very imminent, with which there will be availability" of vaccines for this population group after the authorization of the Anmat.

On June 11, China approved the emergency use of the Sinopharm and Sinovac Biotech vaccines against Covid-19 (both use the inactivated virus platform) in people aged 3 to 17 years.

Meanwhile, Russia announced that in August it will

begin to inoculate boys between 12 and 17 years old with Sputnik V

, a drug that is used and produced in Argentina.

The vaccination will begin when the tests that are already carried out on volunteers of that age range are finished.

Of the 100 study participants, 21 boys and girls received the first component of the formula and only two "raised a fever of more than 37 degrees," said the director of the Gamaleya National Center, Alexander Gintsburg.

"This is a normal reaction, which means that you are not injecting saline, but the vaccine. If they hadn't measured it, they probably wouldn't have noticed," Gintsburg said of the progress of the tests.
