(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 14 - Too many ballet corps that have closed their doors in these years, from the May of Florence to the Feniciti of Venice, from Bologna to Turin. And too many young people forced to choose the road abroad. Italy, says Roberto Bolle, "is a great country and I am proud to be Italian. Masu art and culture invest too little and it is really a shame because investments in culture have a return on tourism and in general on the economy". The occasion is the General State of Culture organized by Sole 24 Ore with the Cultural and Creative Enterprises Association (Aicc), which for the 2021 edition will address the theme "The new frontiers of culture".

Bolle speaks from Rome where he is going on stage with the Teatrodell'Opera from the ruins of the Circus Maximus. His face sparkles from all pores, "I'm really happy to be back on stage", he explains, "it hasn't happened since October last year, so many months of trying to keep me fit, to motivate me, it wasn't easy". Behind, he stresses, there is a "period that has generally been very hard for the whole sector", for the very many people who also work behind the scenes, in the organization's machine and above all in the smallest realities, those that have suffered the most. A period, says Bolle, "but it also served to become aware of the vulnus, of the many shortcomings from a pension and insurance point of view and to remedy them". Now, think, "I believe that the problems have been understood and that something can be done to ensure everyone the necessary safeguards and to ensure social equity ".

The appeal is to give more space to art, to invest more: "Culture is our strong point in the world and it is also a profitable investment" enthusiastically reiterates, first of all remembering the many dance clubs that have been closed in recent years : "It is an impoverishment for our country". In Italy there are four left, Milan, Rome, Naples and Palermo, "the last two understaffed" and this means, he adds, "that young people are forced to go abroad". (HANDLE).
