Homemade popsicles, natural and full of fruit (Photo: Walla !, Dor Moshe)

With all my love for ice cream, in the heat of July-August I prefer popsicles.

I do not mean industrial popsicles saturated with sugar and food coloring, but homemade, natural and fruit-filled popsicles.

This time I made popsicles with mango based on Greek yogurt, which in recent years can be easily found in almost any supermarket.

You can of course replace it with regular yogurt (at least 3%), but Greek yogurt is richer in both taste and texture, so I recommend it.

If you have bored kids on summer vacation looking for how to cool themselves, they can easily make this recipe themselves.

Preparation

How to make a mango yogurt popsicle?

  • 1 Mix the yogurt, honey and lemon juice and divide the batter into 2 pouring jars or bowls.

  • 2 Grind the mango well.

Pour into one of the bowls a third of the mango mixture and mix lightly (it's okay that the mixture is not completely uniform).

Pour the rest of the mango into the second bowl and mix well.

  • 3 Pour into a popsicle mold the two mixtures alternately, freeze overnight and extract.

    Want even simpler?

The division into two different mixtures is done in order to create a touch of the look and texture of the popsicles, but if you want, you can simply mix the mango with the whole yogurt mixture.

Want to add another twist of flavor?

You can grind together with the mango a handful of fresh mint leaves or a little cardamom for a popsicle reminiscent of Indian lassie.
