From Pac-Man to Asteroids, only original vintage pieces to the delight of today's children and those who were little boys in the 80s.
Near Modena, in Carpi, in a shopping center, there are dozens of Arcade cabinets born between the 70s and 90s.
In the game room there are also three pinball machines which belong to a collection of 400 machines.
The Arcadestory project was born in the province of Vicenza, more precisely in Arzignano. It is a reality founded in 2017 by Antonio Nati who together with Michele Colucci (Social Media manager), Andrea Genovese (restorer) and Andrea Vesnaver (electronic technician) wants to keep alive the interest in arcade cabianti. Thanks to a great and passionate research and restoration work, 400 original cabinets have been recovered, functioning and ready to give new collective emotions in a world where the use of videogames is increasingly individual.
In March 2020 the 'Arcadestory lounge' was also born, a live talkshow in which guests related to video games but also voice actors, radio speakers, writers, actors, youtubers, comedians, professional E-sports players, television presenters, alternate. cosplayers and musicians, all ready to tell memories and emotions related to the halls of the past. Qiest year the living room also landed overseas, virtually welcoming guests of the caliber of Nolan Bushnell (founder of Atari), John Romero (Founder ID games and creator of Doom), Allan Alcorn (creator of Pong) and Hollywood actors including Lance Guest (protagonist of the movie Star Games) or Greg Grunberg (Star Wars, Lost, Heroes…).
Through their initiatives, the organizers hope to be able to reach as many people as possible, giving the possibility even to those who have not lived the 80s to be able to recover and discover the history of video games and its protagonists by reliving the sociability of the arcades in which friendships and even loves were born. .
