Also to remember

  • Vaccination: always massive appointments.

This is less than the previous two days (900,000 Monday and 1.3 million Tuesday respectively), but it is very high for a public holiday. The average time between making an appointment and the day of the injection rises sharply, to 18 days.

The pandemic has forced resources and personnel to be diverted to the fight against Covid, while many healthcare services have had to close or reduce their hours.

Due to the # COVID19 pandemic, 2⃣3⃣ million children 👦👧 missed out on basic vaccines through routine immunization services in 2020, increasing by 3.7 million and the highest number since 2009.

The unexpected info

Metro or war memorial? The final work of a line in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) will soon be launched, except that the future François-Verdier station is supposed to be just below the ... monument to the dead of the Pink City, one of the landmarks in particular during demonstrations. Three scenarios have been studied to avoid any risk of damage to the building dating from 1928: reinforce the monument, completely dismantle it to reassemble it after the work is finished, or otherwise mount it on a rail to move it and put back in place. “There is no question of moving it. We are touching the history of Toulouse, ”assures Jean-Michel Lattes, president of Tisséo Collectivités and Tisséo Ingénierie, and also deputy mayor. Answer expected "in November".
