The epidemic is no longer receding.

The latest figures from Public Health France, released this Friday, confirm this.

Despite a number of deaths that remains low and stable, the number of people hospitalized and in critical care is no longer declining.

In some departments, such as in the Pyrénées-Orientales where wearing a mask is once again compulsory indoors, the epidemic rises very quickly because of the Delta variant, which is more contagious.

220 new admissions due to a Covid-19 infection have been recorded in the last 24 hours in hospital services (213 Thursday, 147 a week ago).

Among the hospitalizations, 899 patients are in critical care (resuscitation, intensive care and continuous monitoring).

It's 15 months since the day before.

There were 953 a week ago.

On the death front, 22 have been deplored in the hospital in the past 24 hours.

Over the same period, Thursday, 16 deaths had been recorded.
