The
Neapolitan actor Libero De Rienzo
died at the age of 44, struck by a heart attack in his Roman home
.
Born in Naples in 1977, he embarked on a career in the show following in the footsteps of his father, Fiore De Rienzo, who was Citto Maselli's assistant director.
Libero had won the David di Donatello in 2002 and in 2006,
in Marco Risi's film Fortpàsc
, he played the Neapolitan journalist Giancarlo Siani.
Among his subsequent works, 'I quit when I want' (2014) and in 2019 the film 'A Tor Bella Monaca never rains'.
Although he had lived in Rome since the age of two, Libero De Rienzo was linked to the city of Naples. Married to costume designer Marcella Mosca, he leaves two children aged 6 and 2. After the funeral (whose date has not yet been fixed) the body will be interred in Irpinia, next to the mother.
