After the crash of a small plane in the Böblingen district (Baden-Württemberg), the police confirmed the deaths of three people.
The identities of the fatalities have not yet been determined, said a police spokesman for the Ludwigsburg Presidium.
The recovery of the corpses continues.
The fire brigade and rescue service were on duty with many helpers in the afternoon, and the densely overgrown crash site near Steinenbronn was cordoned off over a large area.
According to the police, the small plane of the "Piper" type took off at Stuttgart airport on Saturday morning at 9.40 am.
The cause of the crash is still unclear, the investigations are ongoing.
The flight recorder could be recovered according to the information.
An expert from the Federal Office for Aircraft Accident Investigations was also at the crash site, it said.
The pilot should not have made an emergency call
According to an initial report from the German Air Traffic Control (DFS), the single-engine machine was on its way to Magdeburg.
According to the report, three people were on board the "Piper," said a spokeswoman.
Shortly after take-off, the pilot reported again to the control center in Langen, after which the machine disappeared from the radar.
"The pilot did not make an emergency call," said the spokeswoman.
Shortly after ten o'clock, the plane that crashed was found in the forest near Steinenbronn (Baden-Württemberg).
