An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 on the Richter scale shook part of Mendoza at noon this Sunday and had its epicenter in the town of Potrerillos.
At the moment, no injuries or material damage have been reported.
According to the National Institute for Seismic Prevention (Inpres), the earthquake occurred at 1:29 on Sunday 30 kilometers west of Mendoza capital and 166 km from San Juan.
It was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers.
