Covid-19: more than 12,500 new cases in 24 hours, 6,900 hospitalized patients

“The epidemic dynamic is clearly stronger than in previous waves.

The Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, sounded the alarm this Sunday in the Journal du Dimanche.

The figures, released this Sunday, show a slight increase in hospital figures and a strong surge in contamination.

This is 14 more than Saturday (6,922) and 247 less than a week ago (7,183).

In critical care services (continuous monitoring, resuscitation and intensive care), 9 new admissions have been recorded in the last 24 hours (21 Saturday, 4 last Sunday).

In all, this Sunday, 891 patients are hospitalized in critical care, against 890 Saturday and 947 seven days ago.

Five new deaths in hospital are to be deplored in the past 24 hours.

There were 16 and 4 over the same period last Saturday and Sunday.

More than 12,500 new contaminations

Contaminations, they continue to be on the rise.

Public Health France has reported 12,532 new cases in the last 24 hours.

An increase compared to Saturday (10,949) and compared to last Sunday (4,256).
