Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes won the Formula 1 British Grand Prix. Second was the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc that preceded the other Silver Star of Valtteri Bottas. Fourth position in the British Formula 1 Grand Prix for Lando Norris' McLaren who preceded team mate Daniel Ricciardo and Carlos Sainz's Ferrari. Fernando Alonso's Alpine seventh ahead of Lance Stroll's Aston martin and Esteban Ocon's other Alpine. Yuki Tsunoda's Alpha Tauri closes the top ten, while Antonio Giovinazzi's Alfa Romeo is thirteenth.
"I'm not completely satisfied, I gave everything I had but it wasn't enough". Despite the excellent second place Charles Leclerc does not hide the regret for having had to say goodbye to the victory only two laps to go. "I did not expect - says the Monegasque Ferrari driver - to be able to fight for the victory. Overall we were stronger than usual. I am very proud of the team, we are working and we must continue like this".
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, visited at the circuit medical center, was declared in good general condition, even if the Dutchman complains of an understandable state of general disruption. From the first surveys, the pilot would have suffered an impact force equal to 51 G. For further and more detailed investigations including a CT scan - they inform Red Bull - Verstappen was then taken to hospital.
The start was spectacular, with Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton wheeling in the first few corners. A challenge that sees the Dutchman of Red Bull have the worst of a contact with the Mercedes of the world champion. The Dutchman goes off the track violently ending up on the barriers, without serious consequences. Leclerc's Ferrari takes advantage of it and takes the lead. The safety car immediately enters and then the race is suspended with the red flag.
