Renneritz airfield in Saxony-Anhalt: the fire brigade cordoned off the crash site over a large area

In the crash of a small airplane on the airfield in Renneritz in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld, three people died on Sunday, according to police reports.
Another person was seriously injured.
The dead are the 55-year-old pilot and two passengers, as a police spokesman said on site, according to information from the dpa news agency.
In addition to the pilot, three young people between the ages of 14 and 17 were on board.
The injured person came to a hospital in Halle by rescue helicopter.
Further details about the victims were initially not known.
The accident occurred at around 4:45 p.m.
According to the police, the Federal Aviation Office has taken over the investigation into the cause of the accident at the scene of the accident.
The airfield belongs to a glider club.
According to the dpa, the aircraft is a single-engine machine of Polish design.
The police spokesman could not say whether the accident happened while taking off or landing.
The site of the accident should remain cordoned off until Monday.
