Story in a minute: Ben & Jerrys come out of the closet (Walla Studio, story in a minute)

The political ice cream bomb dropped by Ben & Jerry's this evening (Monday), according to which it is no longer willing to sell its produce in the settlements ("Occupied Palestinian Territories", as it is defined), has left the Israeli chain particularly turbulent, even in relation to itself, the local food world. The whole is wondering and confused, and the competitors are alert.

"This country is small for both of us," Golda Ice Cream announced as expected on its Instagram account, "We are proud to sell blue and white ice cream, to all Israeli citizens."

The company's owner, Adi Avital, added that "the Golda chain believes that ice cream is meant to make people happy. As a blue and white chain, we are proud of our Israeliness and the privilege we have been given to sell ice cream to many thousands of Israelis across the country."

"Contrary to our values."

The announcement by the American ice cream giant announced in relative balconies that commercial activity in the "Occupied Palestinian Territories is inconsistent" with its values.

She clarified that the Israeli franchise's license, which allows marketing in the settlements, will not be renewed at the end of the year, and that the marketing of ice cream in Israel will continue on the basis of a new arrangement.

Ben & Jerry's Israel was quick to respond, saying that the decision was born out of its refusal to comply.

"We call on the Israeli government and the consumer public not to allow Israel to be boycotted," it said.

"Israel is small for both of us."

Along with instinctive calls for a consumer boycott of the food empire that is Unilever, many surfers have wondered if Ben & Jerrys' famous pints will disappear from the refrigerators, and what exactly the schedule is derived from the dramatic announcement.

Others, as is customary these days, stormed the keyboards and fought what could be defined as an information battle that ended almost immediately after it opened.

All the rest, more effectively apparently, found solace in the stings about the quality of the ice cream, its sometimes bizarre flavors, and the commercial treasure that fell to some of the other manufacturers.

The network is storming:
