Power cuts, tags, ransacked premises… This weekend, several vaccination centers were vandalized, all over France.

This is particularly the case with that of Audincourt.

The town hall of this town of Doubs announced on Monday that it had lodged a complaint after a cut in the power supply circuit breakers which affected, the day before, the city's Covid-19 vaccination center and its emergency generator. .

“Our services went to the scene, there were four circuit breakers off and the main power circuit breaker was also off.

There is no doubt about it, the vaccination center was targeted, ”said Martial Bourquin, the mayor of the town.

The cut lasted "between an hour and an hour and a half," said the elected official.

The 3,500 doses of Pfizer, stored in the refrigerators provided for this purpose, will be analyzed to see if they are still usable.

To prevent such an incident from happening again, the mayor of Audincourt explained that the electrical installations would now be located inside.

Flood and fire

It is not the only center that suffered damage during the weekend.

A little further south, the village hall of Lans-en-Vercors (Isère), made available for the vaccination campaign, was ransacked during the night from Friday to Saturday, report Le Monde and Dauphiné Libéré.

People entered the building and opened the fire-fighting systems, flooding the places which are "completely out of order", the city's mayor, Michaël Kraemer, told Le Monde.

No author identified at this stage.

The research brigade of the Grenoble gendarmerie was seized of the investigation by the prosecution.

Inscriptions with clearly anti-vaccine claims - "RNA = danger", "Vaccine = genocide" - as well as crosses of Lorraine were tagged on the walls of the building and on the tourist office. "We are making dubious and despicable shortcuts, it is a lack of culture and total respect for the history of Vercors", commented the elected to the national daily, referring to the fact that the region was a great base of resistance. The vaccination center, which was to open this weekend to cope with the increase in appointment bookings linked to the expansion of the health pass, was installed in the town's health center.

At the western end of France, Urrugne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) also suffered the wrath of vandals.

These did not use water, but fire.

A fire was thus started in the vaccination center of the municipality, installed under a marquee.

According to the Bayonne public prosecutor, Jérôme Bourrier, who spoke in Sud Ouest, this is a voluntary act.

Flammable product would have been discovered.

The municipality hopes to be able to reopen the vaccination center by Wednesday, reports the regional daily.
