All the magic of a meal in one pot is the interactions that take place between the ingredients in the pot that make everything tastier and the significant advantage is that you don’t have to soil a lot of dishes for it.
If it's not magic, then what is?
There are several ways to prepare a meal in one pot of chicken with rice, I like to first cook the chicken pieces until soft and only then add the rice to the seasoned cooking liquids so that each one comes out with a perfect texture.
In the middle of summer, when there is a feeling that we suddenly need to feed not only our children but also their friends who are hosted almost every day, this pot is a perfect solution for a whole family meal plus appendages where everyone will come out seventy and happy.

5-6 pieces of chicken (shanks, thighs or both)
¼ Whipped cream
2 medium-sized onions, finely chopped
1 basket of halved mushrooms
3 cups jasmine rice
½ a teaspoon of turmeric
½1 tbsp
½ A teaspoon of ground English pepper or black pepper

How to make a pot of chicken with rice and mushrooms?
1 Heat the oil in a large, wide pot that can hold everything (and has a lid) and fry the chicken pieces until browned on all sides.
2 Add the onion cubes and continue to fry until transparent.
Add the mushrooms and fry together for another 2-3 minutes.
Season with turmeric, salt, butter and allspice and mix well.
Pour water until covered and cook covered until chicken pieces are tender (30-40 minutes).
4 Carefully remove the chicken from the cooking liquid.
Taste the resulting sauce and adjust seasoning as needed.
5 Pour the rice into the pot and mix well.
Place the chicken pieces on top of the rice and make sure that the cooking liquid reaches a height of up to 1 cm above the rice, almost at the height of the chicken pieces. If necessary, add more water.
6 Bring the contents of the pot to a boil, transfer to the lowest heat and cook covered for another 25 minutes.
7 Can be served with a little chopped parsley on top or chopped green onions.
