(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 19 - The word, the image and the music, like three spaces that, intertwining in an unprecedented form, interact to celebrate sharing and restart: the historic International Literature Festival of Rome changes its skin, which returns in the capital from 21 to 25 July in a new location, the Palatine Stadium, and with a renewed format, conceived as a synaesthetic experience. Organized by the Institution System Libraries Cultural Centers of RomaCapitale, promoted by Roma Culture, the Festival, whose presentation today was also attended by the mayor VirginiaRaggi, celebrates its first 20 years of life with an inpresenza edition characterized by the theme "Reading the world" , chosen precisely to propose not one, but many ideas capable of recounting and interpreting the complex historical moment we are experiencing.Readings of unpublished, off-the-cuff reflections and unprecedented openings entrusted to poetry will light up reflections and suggestions five evenings with free admission, by Andrea Cusumano and Lea Iandiorio, directed by Fabrizio Arcuri, in which Italian and international authors will alternate, from Roberto Saviano to the winner of the PremioStrega 2021 Emanuele Trevi, from Carmen Maria Machado to Aixa dela Cruz and Katharina Volckmer, and then Gianrico Carofiglio, RobertoAlajmo, Erri De Luca, Patrick McGrath, Roberto Venturini, MurielBarbery, Cristina Morales, Mario Desiati. In a scene without a stage and open to the encounter, the words of the writers will be welcomed, accompanied and punctuated by two novelties: the site-specific installation of the Masbedo (artistic duo formed by Nicolò Masazza and Jacopo Bedogni), entitled "A window on the world",that every evening in a passage from the pandemic screen to the screen of the inner world and the imagination will face a condition of existence (expectation, fear, lightness, salvation, escape) and the sound space of the pianist MarinoFormenti.
