On Monday, the TF1 group and organizations in the cinema industry signed an unprecedented agreement.
The Bouygues subsidiary is committed to investing more in cinematographic creation.
In exchange, it obtained facilities concerning the broadcasting of films on its antennas.
In detail, the TF1 group will now allocate 3.5% of its overall turnover to film production.
Before this agreement, the channels TF1, TFX, TMC and TF1 Séries Films were each to devote 3.2% of their turnover to French and European production.
The obligation has been pooled and increased.
This represents, on the basis of TF1's 2020 turnover, an additional contribution for the cinema of around 4 million, to 47.5 million euros.
