VIDEO. Alpes-Maritimes: an armed man suspected of feminicide is tracked down in Gréolières

The inhabitants of Gréolières (Alpes-Maritimes) were advised to stay at home while awaiting the arrest of the “local child” entrenched in their village.

Monday, July 19, a man suspected of having killed a 32-year-old woman with a bullet in the head in Plan-de-la-Tour, a town overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, took refuge in his house before to shoot the gendarmes.

The lifeless body of a woman was discovered between 5 and 6 a.m. on the morning of July 18 by a newspaper delivery man.

"The intervention of the firefighters and the police did not make it possible to resuscitate the victim", declared Guy Boucher, deputy prosecutor of Draguignan (Var), while confirming that the forensic doctor had noted a "death by firearm ".

Described as "armed and dangerous" by the deputy prosecutor of Tarascon, Marc Floris is wanted by a large gendarmerie device.

Unknown to the police, he is a brown man of 1.75 m with a slender build and Caucasian type, according to the Gendarmerie des Alpes-Maritimes.
