China has returned the accusations of the Biden administration, Europe and US allies about the massive attacks on Microsoft's servers, calling them "baseless" and "irresponsible". In the first official response, Beijing mobilized embassies in Australia and New Zealand. In two separate notes, the diplomatic mission in Wellington spoke of accusations "totally unfounded and irresponsible" and the result of "malicious defamation", while the one in Canberra accused Australia of "parrot" American rhetoric, describing Washington as "the world champion of malicious cyberattacks".
