Hollywood's biggest celebrities can now be forced to have their arm pricked.
Producers will have the opportunity to make vaccination compulsory on film and television sets, under an agreement signed Monday between several unions and the Alliance of Film and Television Producers revealed by the Deadline site.

Producers will thus be able to request vaccination from all workers in “
zone A
”, that is to say the space where the actors and all the teams who are near them operate.
A filming area where it is therefore often difficult to respect the safety distances and the wearing of a mask.
However, the agreement specifies that people vaccinated will benefit from a reduction in current health protocols, in particular with regard to wearing a mask.
At the same time, adjustments to the frequency of Covid tests are planned, in filming areas where the incidence rate remains very low, especially in Canada.

This is the third modification of this agreement between unions and producers' alliance, signed for the first time last September. The agreement was extended for the first time in April, then a second time in June. This time, the new version with the addition of the vaccination obligation should be in effect until September 30. A decision that the signatories applaud, explaining in a press release that "
the protocols have led to a successful rebound in film and television production while giving priority to the safety of actors, teams and all workers on the set
".
This modification of the agreement takes place in a context of epidemic recovery in the United States, and more particularly in Los Angeles. Wearing a mask indoors is also mandatory again since July 18 in the city, even for vaccinated people. For seven days in a row, more than 1,000 cases were recorded there daily, while vaccination stagnated.
