In Spain, a con man has been sentenced to three years in prison for acting as the envoy of King Felipe VI of Spain.

The young man, who is also called "Little Nicolás" by the Spanish media, claimed in 2014 that he was the liaison between the royal family and the Spanish government.

So he had sneaked lunch with an important entrepreneur, said a court in Madrid.

The verdict is not yet legally binding.

According to media estimates, he faces up to 30 years in prison.
