(HANDLE) After Macron's announcement of introducing rules that provide, from the beginning of August, the obligation to have a health pass in transport (airplanes, buses and trains), to enter restaurants, bars and the obligation to vaccinate health personnel , and the hypothesis of our government to adopt a similar solution also in our country, the controversy over the so-called "green pass" does not cease

After Macron's announcement of introducing rules that provide, from the beginning of August, the obligation to have a health pass in transport (airplanes, buses and trains), to enter restaurants, bars and the obligation to vaccinate health personnel , and the hypothesis of our government to adopt a similar solution also in our country, the controversy over the so-called "green pass" does not cease.

According to a survey conducted by SWG, between 14 and 16 July last, on 800 adults residing in Italy, for one Italian out of two, the Government should extend the use of the Green Pass already immediately and a further 21% will he declared in favor of the introduction of the green pass "only if the number of infections were to increase significantly". On the contrary, less than one in five Italians (19%) believe that “it would be a wrong decision in any case”.

So then, to further investigate the issue, ANSA AND DataMediaHub analyzed the online conversations (social + online news + blog and forum) in the last week in relation to the "green pass". From 13 July to the morning of 20 July, there were almost 140 thousand online citations of green pass, by more than 16 thousand unique authors, whose contents involved (like + reaction + comments and shares) over 1.5 million people . Conversation volume that generated an “opportunity to be seen” of 557.6 billion impressions. Potential range that we reasonably estimate to actually be 2.7 billion impressions, of exposure to content related to the topic in question, gross of duplications. In short, it is clear that there is much discussion about the green pass. But how do you talk about it? It is mainly male individuals, who weigh about 62% of the total, and those between 18 and 34 years of age, although we know that the personal data is conditioned by the greater propensity to use social media by young people.

Even if the contrast between for and against is evident, as shown by the "tag cloud", the cloud of hashtags most used in online conversations on the subject, which highlights #GreenpassObbligatorio on the one hand and #NoGreenpass on the other, overall those appear decidedly superior who are in favor of the mandatory health certificate. No coincidentally, one of the posts that generated the most involvement is that of ANSA which highlights the rush to get vaccinated after Macron's speech to the French. And, excluding other media, the tweet of an Italian in Germany who writes: «Yesterday, in Berlin, to enter a club I had to present the Green Pass.

I am still alive? Yes Has my freedom been violated? No Did the aliens take me? No Is that right? Yes Is it just common sense? Yup". Content relaunched 1,340 times and marked in favorites, or "liked", more than 13 thousand times. Tweet followed by that of a woman who, in a rhetorical manner, asks herself: "and the green pass no, and the vaccine no, and the closures no, and the restrictions no ... Tell me then how you would like to overcome this pandemic, praying ? " Tweet retweeted 1,137 times and liked by more than 8 thousand users. Fortunately, according to what was published by two researchers from the University of Milan in “la Voce”, 5% of people declare that they are absolutely not available to be vaccinated. An absolute minority. In conclusion, the numerical superiority of those who are in favor of the green pass is clear, and as a result of vaccination, but there is no doubt that there is a "noisy minority" that draws information from non-accredited sites feeling like pioneers because they 'discovered' these sites, not like us sheep who read the things that everyone knows. A problem within a problem, as we all know.
