Baden-Württemberg: 14-year-old involuntarily drives 70 kilometers on a freight train

Two girls climbed onto a freight train in Ettlingen station - it suddenly started. A 14-year-old stayed on the wagon near Offenburg. There she injured herself when jumping.

A 14-year-old apparently involuntarily traveled around 70 kilometers on a freight train in Baden-Württemberg - and injured herself when jumping.

The federal police announced that the girl and a 15-year-old friend climbed onto a stationary freight train at a train station in Ettlingen on Tuesday.

When this suddenly started moving, only the girlfriend was able to jump off in time.

Girl jumps off after 70 kilometers

The 14-year-old missed the moment to take off and then had to wait around 70 kilometers on the moving train until it slowed down near Offenburg.

The 14-year-old then jumped from the wagon.

The girl suffered abrasions all over her body and a laceration on her head.

According to the police, she managed to dial the emergency number herself.

Police and ambulance services found the girl and took her to a hospital.
