He hopes for a sustained rate, up to "four million vaccinations per week" from August.
According to Matignon, the government wants to achieve “two million” injections this week and is launching “a collective challenge” to achieve eight million vaccinations over the next 15 days.
Long wait in places
This new appointment offer will not be luxury in some departments.
Since the announcements of Emmanuel Macron, the time to obtain a niche has literally exploded in places.
On July 15, for example, it took more than 35 days to have a first injection appointment in Ille-et-Vilaine and it still takes more than 23 days on this date.
On average, in France, the waiting period is 12.6 days, according to Doctolib.
Jean Castex also took advantage of his speech to announce the acceleration of the vaccination of adolescents at the start of the September school year, with a campaign organized within colleges and high schools.
