This week's tasting is dedicated to the white wines of Aphros Winery from Portugal.

Vasco Croft, a former architect, founded the winery in 2003 in the renowned classic wine region Vinho Verde and was a pioneer of Portugal's organic and biodynamic work.

Almost 20 years later, the Afros Winery is run with great success, in keeping with the spirit enacted at the beginning of the road, does not operate in industrialized and does not produce huge masses.

some of the wines sparkling and aged in traditional giant clay amphorae, aged 90-120 years.

All work is manual and the winemaking concept is natural and traditional.

The significance of this worldview is evident in wines, whose strong emphasis is on trout and variety.

All of these delicious wines are based on Loreiro grapes, multi-character. You can not go wrong with this character factor when tasting the wines. These are not wines that are designed and engineered by a winemaker, as in the new wine world. Therefore, each has its own character and each tells a different story.

As always with wines from this side of Europe, what would cost much more in France or Italy, costs less here .

these are wines that belong Pole cheap right of the scale. In general, wines wineries prefabricated less traditional, more than ever rise more. but the relative qualities, most of them provide proper compensation and more money.

In two of them, "Efros Ten 2020" and "afros Laurier 2020 "this is a great value Really. "Eprus, Paunus, Lorreiro 2019" is intended for experienced drinkers and provides plenty of complexity and interest. All the wines are all incomparably suitable for these extreme hot days.
