Truck at the Koblenz / Dieblich junction: Stuck on the A61

A truck driver got stuck in a ditch on Autobahn 61 in Rhineland-Palatinate.
According to the police, the 49-year-old man got off the road on Wednesday afternoon at the Koblenz / Dieblich exit and got onto a meadow.
The driver then engaged reverse gear and hit the guardrail, where the tractor-trailer truck got stuck in the soft ground.
A breath alcohol test showed more than 3.2 per thousand.
Witnesses had observed before the accident that the tractor-trailer was snaking for several kilometers and also hit the guardrail, it said.
After taking a blood sample, the 49-year-old was discharged from the hospital.
The truck was towed away, the traffic was hindered at the exit until the evening hours because of the clean-up work.
