China, boom in exports of guitars from Guizhou

 The province of Guizhou, in southwestern China, saw its guitar exports increase by 440% over the previous year, to a value that reached 120 million yuan (about 18.5 million dollars) in the first mid this year, according to local customs. Zheng'an, a county in the city of Zunyi, is known as the Chinese center of guitar production. In 2020, 6 million instruments produced here were sold worldwide. The county boasts an industrial park for the production of this musical instrument that occupies more than 26 hectares, with factories covering 400,000 square meters, making it the largest production base of its kind in the world. In addition to churning out guitars for world-famous brands, more than 50 local brands have also sprung up in Guizhou,with products sold in more than 40 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany and France.
