(ANSA) - MADRID, JULY 22 - The employment rate of intensive care by Covid patients in Spain went from 9.18% to 13.52% in one week, while that in the general wards from 3.91% to 6.37 %: this can be learned from the updated data of the Ministry of Health, while the fifth great wave of infections in the Iberian country continues. The impact on the hospital system is becoming more and more consistent, even if mitigated by vaccination coverage. On July 8, or two weeks ago, the rates were 6.64% and 2.42% respectively. In Catalonia, for example, infections are on the decline, while the employment of intensive care is at 40%. In Madrid, on the other hand, the infections are still in the ascending phase, while the employment of intensive care is 13.18%.
