(ANSA) - BUDAPEST, 22 JUL - The Budapest Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the case of espionage through the Pegasus software.
Prosecutors today announced that they have opened an investigation into allegations that the Hungarian government used Israeli-made spyware to target hundreds of phone numbers, including those of journalists.
"The task of the investigation is to establish the facts and determine whether and, if confirmed, what crime has been committed," reads a notary from the Budapest Regional Prosecutor's Office.
