The product affected is "Rewe Best Choice, creamed spinach portioned mildly spiced" in the 500 gram pack.
Consumption is strongly discouraged.
It cannot be ruled out that there are thin metal chips in individual packaging made from two batches of Rewe spinach, the company said on Thursday in Ratingen.
A health hazard cannot be ruled out with absolute certainty.
Consumers are called upon to match any packaging with the item numbers concerned.

According to the announcement from Thursday afternoon, only the production batches with the numbers 141096 and 141097 are affected by the recall.
The article number (EAN) of the recalled products is 4337256053242. The best before date of the affected spinach packs is stated as 04/2023.
The manufacturer strongly warns against the consumption of the affected product.
Customers can return the “Rewe Beste Wahl” creamed spinach at any time in all branches and get the full purchase price reimbursed - even without presenting a receipt.
