The European central bank has decided, explains a note, "not to extend its recommendation to all banks to limit dividends beyond September 2021. The supervisory authorities will instead resume evaluating the capital and dividend distribution plans of each bank as part of the regular prudential process. ": The ECB had imposed a stop on dividends in March 2020, reiterated in July of that year and then reduced to a recommendation to limit them in December of last year.
