(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JULY 23 - EMA's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) has recommended granting an extension of the indication for the Covid-19 Spikevax vaccine (formerly Covid-19 Vaccine Moderna) to include its for children aged 12-17. The vaccine is already authorized for use in people aged 18 and over. This was announced by the European drug agency in a statement, stating that the use of the Spikevax vaccine in children aged between 12 and 17 years will be the same as in people aged 18 and over. It is given as two injections four weeks apart. (HANDLE).
