Ema, ok to over 12 years for Modern covid vaccine

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JULY 23 - EMA's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) has recommended granting an extension of the indication for the Covid-19 Spikevax vaccine (formerly Covid-19 Vaccine Moderna) to include its for children aged 12-17. The vaccine is already authorized for use in people aged 18 and over. This was announced by the European drug agency in a statement, stating that the use of the Spikevax vaccine in children aged between 12 and 17 years will be the same as in people aged 18 and over.
