In Baden-Württemberg, a 15-year-old is said to have attacked a 16-year-old and seriously injured him.
The two young people met on Wednesday evening in the small town of Erbach, said the public prosecutor and the police in Ulm.
According to investigators, victims and alleged perpetrators knew each other.
According to initial findings, the 15-year-old suddenly approached the older man, choked him and stabbed him with a sharp object.
The young person then fled.
The 16-year-old was reportedly critically injured.
He was able to walk to a field nearby and ask a passer-by for help.
After an emergency operation, his life is now out of danger.
The police arrested the suspect a short time later.
He is charged with attempted murder.
The youth is in custody.
The investigation is ongoing, including the search for the murder weapon.
The police asked possible witnesses to report.
