The shots were fired near the restaurant Le Diplomate.
The death toll would be two injured while the man who opened fire would have fled.
The incident follows the shooting outside the Washington Nationals stadium on Saturday that caused the game to be suspended and last Friday in which a five-year-old girl was killed.
