2021-07-23T14:40:11.135Z

After the temporary closure of a nightclub in Mathay, in the Doubs, Thursday, another cluster was detected in a night establishment

It is the turn of the disco of Discopolis de Charmes (Vosges) to temporarily draw the curtain.

Despite the health pass and the checks carried out at the entrance, a cluster was detected within the establishment which reopened its doors on July 9.

During parties organized on July 13, 16 and 17, several clients of the establishment were infected with the Delta variant.

During these evenings, the nightclub welcomed more than 1,000 customers from all over the region.

The authorities have traced the trail of an “Indian variant cluster among the inhabitants of the area.

The contact tracing carried out by the health insurance made it possible to identify 44 people ”, according to a press release from the prefecture and the Regional Health Agency (ARS) of the Grand Est.

An exceptional screening and vaccination system has been set up by the prefecture, in an attempt to stop the spread of the variant.

The ephemeral center opened its doors this Friday in the town hall's village hall.

Residents can be tested there for free and without an appointment from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

In Mathay, in the Doubs where a cluster has been identified at the Cario Club, the only open nightclub in the region, the toll has risen to 85 positive cases, according to the ARS Bourgogne Franche-Comté.

The establishment has already closed its doors, said the prefecture of Doubs.

The president of the scientific council, Jean-François Delfraissy, questioned on Friday morning by BFMTV, considered that it was "dangerous" in epidemic terms to frequent nightclubs, reopened with health passes, assuring that they had been at the origin of contamination peaks in several countries, notably in the Netherlands.

In Bordeaux, 81 people tested positive after three techno evenings organized in mid-July in a club in the city while testimonies on social networks questioned compliance with health checks.
