A 53-year-old woman died and her partner was injured when they were attacked by
six dogs of the pit bull breed
in an incident that occurred in the rural area of Birigi, in São Paulo, Brazil.
The victim was identified as Marli Donegá Tizura and was surprised by the animals when she arrived at the farm, where her boyfriend is a caretaker, causing fatal injuries.
According to the Brazilian Civil Police, the incident occurred on Wednesday night and apparently the couple had left the
animals loose
when they went out with a friend for a walk.
Upon returning, the woman had accompanied her partner to the farm, but the animals pounced on Marli and began to
attack her without the man being able to do anything
to stop them.
As the animals attacked the woman, her boyfriend intervened, but
was also bitten
.
As he could, he managed to escape by asking other workers for help before falling unconscious.
When the municipal firefighters arrived at the area of the attack, the woman had already died.
Her boyfriend was rushed to a local hospital with several injuries and the animals could be restrained by other people who were on the farm after the tragic accident.
She died when she was attacked by six Pitbull dogs.
Hugo Tizura, the victim's son, related that his mother used to go to the property and also spent time with the dogs.
“The day he wasn't working, my mother slept on the farm.
He had contact with animals.
My mother was a very welcoming person and was willing to help.

Alcides Paschoal, the victim's uncle, lamented the circumstances in which his niece died.
The man commented that Marli "was massacred."
"He didn't deserve it. It was a horrible tragedy. We will miss him very much. Marli was a person that no one could blame," he said.
The caregiver remained hospitalized in Santa Casa de Birigui, while the case is being investigated as a
suspicious death
