(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, 25 JUL - Tension returns on the border between Gaza and Israel with the resumption - after a three-week break - of the launch of incendiary balloons from the Strip towards Neghev.
At least four fires occurred today in the agricultural areas and in the bush near the Gaza Strip, according to local media.
Last month, the Bennett government reacted to these attacks by targeting Hamas posts and training camps.
In the meantime, the diplomatic efforts made in particular by Egypt to strengthen the truce between Israel and Hamas are slowing down. Hamas leaders now accuse Israel of preventing the entry into Gaza of funding from Qatar, necessary for the reconstruction of infrastructure and for the support of tens of thousands of needy families. They also complain that the Erez Passenger Crossing and the Kerem Shalom Commercial Crossing are still operating at a very slow pace. Consequently, in Gaza there is a strong shortage of raw materials. (HANDLE).
