(ANSA-AFP) - MUMBAI, 25 JUL - The death toll from floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains in India today rose to 124. The authorities of the country reported this, while rescuers are looking for more than dozens of missing persons.
The country's west coast has been hit by torrential rain since Thursday, with the Indian Meteorological Department warning of further downpours in the coming days. In the state of Maharasthra, 114 people were killed, including more than 40 in a large landslide that hit the hilltop village of Taliye, south of Mumbai on Thursday.
