Braunschweig - The Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety published a message on Saturday that warns customers against consuming the product “Halva with sunflower seeds” from the manufacturer Dovgan.

Affected are the batches of the 400 gram pack with the article number 27010400 and the best before date 09/29/2021 and 10/22/2021.

The date is printed on the back of the packaging concerned.

As part of a laboratory check, a positive salmonella result was found on goods with this best before date.

The product went over the counter in Hamburg as well as in the federal states of Bavaria and Lower Saxony, other items from the manufacturer are not affected.


Recall due to the risk of salmonella: Halva made from sunflower seeds with the best before date 09/29/2021 and 10/22/2021.

Anyone who is in possession of an affected product should not consume it under any circumstances.

Because salmonella can trigger stomach and intestinal diseases.

Customers can usually return the affected product to the shop in which they bought it for a refund of the full purchase price without presenting the receipt.
