Last Friday, the Tokyo Olympics, which were supposed to take place a year ago and were postponed due to the global corona epidemic, finally opened with a solemn ceremony.
In the best tradition, the opening event provided an artistic, but rather sleepy, program for us on behalf of the host country, exposing the delegations of outstanding athletes from each country in the exciting flag march.

While the ceremony provided some pretty endearing fashion moments, including the sumptuous tulle dress designed by Tomo Koizumi for Japanese singer Missia who sang the national anthem of the host country alongside impressive delegation uniforms, many Twitter activists had complaints about costumes designed by Ralph Lauren for the American team.
Since 2008, and in succession, the veteran designer has been officially responsible for dressing the United States Olympic delegations, a design that always includes a combination of American flag shades.
This time the outfit included jeans, a blue T-shirt with a white striped pattern, a neck scarf in the colors of the flag and a blue tailored blazer with a round patch with a red frame and the symbol of the Olympic Games in the center.

The main argument touched on the imagination and stylistic cycle of the costumes designed by the same fashion house for the fourth time.
Posts like "Please fire Ralph Lauren from doing the United States Olympic uniform", or "Stop letting Ralph Lauren design the Olympic team uniforms at the opening ceremony. Didn't we learn anything?" .

There were also those who lingered on the style: "At every Olympics, Ralph Lauren wears a variety of the finest athletes in the United States as if they were college fraternity members on vacation in Montauk," one reporter, another respondent wondered "When will we stop letting Ralph Lauren embarrass us at the Olympics?" , And "Why does the United States team's outfit look like someone's swear at you for cursing the manpower department?".

Along with the lashing reactions were also more respectful and reasoned, for example "It's time to give another designer a chance to prepare the official uniform for the Olympics. I love Ralph Lauren but every four years the costumes are predictable and repetitive. I would be happy to see more recent interpretations of the subject."
The participants of the Israeli delegation, for example, marched at the ceremony in a T-shirt featuring color blocks of white, blue and light blue combined with white cotton pants that were designed for the seventh time by the Castro chain.

The one who still jumped on the well-publicized celebration and made good use of the stage, not that it lacked coverage these days, was Kim Kardashian with a collection of skims designed especially for the Olympics.
Fighting jerseys with matching boxer shorts, cozy pajamas, T-shirts in base colors and even socks to complete the look.
All of them are embroidered with Team USA embroidery, with the team's leading athletes photographed in the collection.
