Flood Help of a different kind is provided by a supermarket in Bonn and sells rescued wine bottles.
However, those who have not bought one can buy wine online and support the families.
Bonn - “Pinot Blanc country wine, 6.00 euros”, is written on the sales sign above the muddy wine bottles, the label of which can just be made out.

From a sensory point of view, they are perfect and can be drunk without hesitation, says Winzer Riske on his website.
However, he asks for patience.
"Please understand that the delivery will take 1-2 months due to the lack of infrastructure."

The Erwin Riske winemaking family from Dernau an der Ahr was one of those affected by the flood disaster in the Ahr valley.
"The situation is devastating for everyone in the Ahr Valley and the extent cannot yet be fully assessed," writes Riske on his homepage.
The winery and parts of the houses are badly damaged.
For many families it is about existence.
“We are currently removing the rubble and dirt with helpers.
At this point, thank you very much for this help! "
The Mayschoss-Altenahr wine cooperative also sells rescued wines. They offer six surprise bottles “across our range that we were able to save from the remaining rubble”. The package is available for 100 euros and can be ordered online. The campaigns are well received by wine lovers: “Ordered and transferred. A great action. Keep your ears stiff and keep up your fighting spirit, ”wrote one in the comments.
